• While I could sit back and listen to the lies being told about the Affordable Care Act, choosing to do nothing, I have instead opted to educate. At my church, we are using our Social Justice Committee's bulletin board and bulletin announcements to share information from the Kaiser Family Foundation with the 3,000 parishioners. The committee members have done months of research and have encouraged everyone to question anything they believe to be false, so that we can engage in a dialogue. I am using Facebook and other social media venues to get the message out. When I find that friends and family members of mine are making false claims about the ACA, I politely offer credible resources to them, and encourage them to contact the White House with their concerns/questions.
